iRecon is an iPad application that is used in conjunction with a ComSonics RECON-CIS cable installation meter via a Bluetooth connection. The iRecon application provides a full set of CATV testing capabilities that allow anyone with a RECON-CIS meter to measure the performance of CATV signals entering a home or building. This application is commonly used by cable installers to verify installations are done correctly and troubleshoot any problems found. The test suite provided by this iRecon application includes:
Full channel sweep up to 1 GHz
Individual channel analysis for both analog and digital channels
Reverse Path sweep for noise/ingress problems with Single, Average, or Peak modes
Modem tests including Downstream and Upstream speeds and signal levels
Automated Tests used for Home Certification
“Cloud View” Web application that collects and stores the test results
Don’t have a ComSonics RECON-CIS meter but want to try this application? No problem. Downloading the iRecon app to your iPad will allow you to experience a demo mode that will show you what the app looks like and how it runs using sample test data… until you connect it to a functional RECON-CIS meter. Once connected, the application automatically switches from demo mode to full user mode.
